01

Scope and contact

This policy applies to PDF Tools (PDF工具, application ID com.jiami.code), developed by Mr Han, and its privacy-policy website. Updated and effective: October 5, 2026. For privacy questions, personal-information requests or suggestions, contact 2683326280@qq.com. We will respond within 15 working days of receiving your email.

02

Files are processed on your device

The app reads only PDFs, DOCX documents or images you explicitly select through the system file picker. It copies them into its private cache for previewing, editing, conversion and on-device text recognition. It does not scan your entire storage or upload documents, images, recognized text or passwords to the developer. There are no accounts, cloud document processing or automatic synchronization. Operations create new files and leave your originals unchanged.

03

Local records and retention

Up to 50 recent records are stored on your device to reopen files: file URI, name, size, page count, operation time and whether the file is an output. Favorites, language, appearance, image format, quality and reduced-motion preferences are stored locally. Temporary cache is cleared at the end of a work session or on the next launch; residue after an abnormal exit is cleared on the next launch. Generated files remain in the app’s private directory until you clear app data or uninstall it. System backup and restoration of app data are disabled. Use Save As or Save to Photos to retain outputs outside the app.

04

Passwords and compatibility information

Passwords used to open files and new encryption passwords are used only in memory during the current processing session. They are not saved in recent records, preferences or app logs and are cleared when you leave the workspace. The app checks system API capabilities and its version for compatibility and the About screen. It does not read advertising identifiers, contacts, location or your device serial number.

05

Permissions and saving to Photos

Access is granted by the system file picker and limited to files you choose. Save to Photos writes output images only after you request it and accept the system confirmation, using album URIs created and authorized by the system. It does not read existing photos or request full photo-library access. PRINT (ohos.permission.PRINT) is used for printing you initiate. VIBRATE (ohos.permission.VIBRATE) provides light feedback after operations or page selection; reduced motion disables it. The app requests no Internet, camera, microphone, location, contacts or unrestricted file-reading permission. You can cancel selection or saving; optional system services do not block basic document processing.

06

Sharing, printing and system components

When you initiate sharing or printing and choose a recipient in the system panel, the system passes the relevant file to your chosen service. Recipients process files under their own privacy policies. The app uses official HarmonyOS PDF Kit, Core Vision Kit and system file, image, drawing, printing, sharing, preference and vibration capabilities. It includes no advertising, behavioral analytics, cloud-recognition or third-party PDF-engine SDK.

07

Your control and deletion

You can cancel file selection or processing, remove recent records, change favorites and settings, and clear app data or uninstall through system settings to delete local app records, cache and private outputs. Removing a recent record does not delete original or generated files. Files saved externally, saved to Photos or shared must be deleted from their respective locations. The developer has no interface for accessing documents on your device. Email contact is voluntary; your email address and supplied content are used to resolve your inquiry and are not used for other purposes after resolution. Please do not send sensitive documents or passwords.

08

Children, safeguards and updates

The app is a general document-processing utility and has no social, advertising or child-profiling features. Minors should use it and share documents under guardian guidance. Private app files are isolated by the system sandbox, with no developer remote access. Please secure your device with a screen lock and protect passwords. This policy will be updated when actual functionality or data processing changes. Any new personal-information collection or purpose will be explained before the relevant operation and necessary authorization obtained.

09

AppGallery and publication

Huawei AppGallery independently processes information under its policies when you download, update or rate the app. The in-app rating button only opens AppGallery and sends no rating information to the developer. This policy describes the current version’s actual behavior and serves as the privacy-policy text for publication. An unpublished development version may not yet have a store page. Publication status and version numbers are subject to the actual AppGallery listing.

10

Privacy website and hosting

This is a static privacy website, intended to store its public source on GitHub and serve it through Cloudflare Pages. The page has no advertising, analytics, upload forms, first-party cookies or browser local storage. All assets are served with the site; no third-party fonts or analytics scripts are loaded. Hosting providers may process IP addresses, request times, browser details and HTTP request information for delivery, security and operation, subject to their privacy policies. These website connections do not include the app’s documents, images or passwords. Provider websites are governed by their own policies. User files, signing certificates and keys must not be added to the repository or deployment configuration.
